The cosmetology program consists of 1,500 clock hours covering all phases of cosmetology. Hair Care, Skin Care, Nail Care mandated by the Arizona State Board of Cosmetology. The program is designed to prepare the student to pass the Arizona State Board of Cosmetology licensure examination and to help the student gain the knowledge and skills necessary for an entry-level position in the beauty field. A Cosmetology license is a requirement to operate as a cosmetologist in the state of Arizona. Approximate number of weeks to complete the program based on hours completed per week.
The cosmetology curriculum consists of 1,500 clock hours, technical instruction, and hands-on operations; teaches the basic foundation for haircutting, haircoloring, hairstyling, hair extension application, make up, and manicuring techniques. For the purposes of this section, technical instruction shall mean instruction by demonstration, readings, class participation, or test. Practical operation means the actual performance by the student of completed services on another person or mannequin. We do this by letting student provide beauty services to actual guest as part of our clinic/salon.
All services are performed by supervised students
The cosmetology program is designed to prepare students for the state licensing examination and for profitable employment as a cosmetologist. The knowledge and skills will prepare graduate students for work as a Hairstylist or Colorist, Nail Technician, Brand/Product Representative, Brand Salesperson, Salon Manager, Salon/Business Owner, Educator/Instructor, Styling consultant.
